The next crop of this summer’s Sydney selection of more than 120 tasty, ten-minute theatrical bites is being presented this week during week six of the Short+Sweet festival.
Among them is Compos Mentis which sees a Master of Social Work test a golden age couple at a non-assisted living facility with surprising results.
Patrick Matijevic from Bexley directs this seniors’ tale by US writer Marilyn Millstone which has a wicked twist.
The play will be performed February 15-19.
Ice Cream Mafia, by inner west writer Vee Malnar, stars Jay Duncan, Maili Bookluck, Eric Guanlao and Jasper Musgrave.
Just when Vincent thinks he is on a winning strike with his famous ice cream – The Mafia decides it likes all the flavours and would like to learn more about ice cream.
The play is directed by previous Best Director award-winner Tom Richards of Sans Souci.
The play will be performed February 15-19.
Kirrawee actor Graham Egan features in the short play The Lifecycle of Refrigerators on from February 22-26.
