It's never too early to learn, especially in life's basic skills of first aid and safety and the confidence to act in emergency situations.
Matt Harrison from Caringbah business Australian Frontline Solutions is addressing this problem and has designed a first aid and safety training course for kids – F.A.S.T for KIDS.
“As a father of five I know how important it is for kids to know first aid and importantly not to panic in an emergency situation,” Harrison said.
“I found my own kids were often asking me questions about first aid, they see injuries on TV, to their teammates on the sports field and to their own classmates.”
F.A.S.T. is specifically designed for kids aged 5-12 to learn the basics of First Aid and what to expect in an emergency situation.
It has been created by their experienced instructors and specifically tailored to primary school aged students. The course is taught in a fun way with simple instructions which are easy for kids to remember.
Australian Frontline Solutions specialise in training for the childcare industry through delivering First Aid, Combined Childcare, and WHS training to enable businesses and the community to meet all legislative requirements.
The F.A.S.T for Kids is 1.5 hour course which covers all areas of basic first aid including:calling for an ambulance,CPR & recovery position,burns bites and stings,choking/seizures and how to manage bleeding and bandaging.
As part of AFS 28th year in business they are offering their First Aid and Safety Training (F.A.S.T) for kids course for $25.00 per child-with a special February promotion. The first 10 children registered on each date are free,limit of 2 per family .
All children will receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the program and it is held every Saturday in their training room at 27/65-75 Captain Cook Drive, Caringbah from 04/02/2017 - 04/03/2017.
