If remembering new students names wasn’t hard enough already, teachers at Kirrawee High School will be kept on their toes this year with two sets of triplets starting at the school.
The school recently welcomed its biggest intake of Year 7 students in its 50-year history.
More than 200 Year 7 students have just started at the school including two sets of triplets and eight pairs of twins.
Visual arts teacher Kathryn Falconer, who herself has twins at the school, said this was a first on a couple of levels at the school.
“This year, Year 7 is our biggest cohort we have ever had,” she said. “And, as long as I’ve been here, we have never had two sets of triplets in the same year. And I’ve been here for 24 years.”
Of the two sets of triplets, one set is all boys and one set is all girls.
In this case, both sets of triplets include a pair of identical sisters, or brothers, and one singleton.
