Parents who are worried about teaching their children to drive can take part in a free workshop at Rockdale Town Hall.
It can be stressful thinking of how you can teach your child to drive when they’ve just got their learner’s permit. As a result, supervisors and parents are welcome to attend a free workshop on March 20, funded by Bayside Council and the RMS.
“Bayside Council is committed to making our roads safer. By equipping supervisors of learner drivers with the knowledge and skills they need, and helping them to instill good driving behaviour in learner drivers is vital,” Bayside Council administrator Greg Wright said.
“This workshop is presented by a highly skilled road safety expert who is RMS approved. I encourage anyone who is about to supervise a learner driver, or is currently supervising a learner driver, to attend this free workshop.”
The workshop is being held on Monday, March 20 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. It will be held in the Pindari Room at Rockdale Town Hall.
It is free but bookings are essential on 9562 1701 or email sue.watson@bayside.nsw.gov.au.
- During the workshop you will learn tips and tricks such as:
- Marking off the learner’s progress against tasks contained in the log book.
- How the NSW licensing scheme works.
- How to make sure your road rule knowledge is up-to-date to ensure that you’re teaching your learner driver the correct rules.
- The top-10 misunderstood road rules.
