Sydney FC were left to rue the non-award of a penalty in added time as their 19-game unbeaten run came to an end against bitter rivals Western Sydney.
Brendan Santalab’s goal midway through the first half gave the Wanderers a 1-0 lead at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night before the Sky Blues had an Alex Brosque penalty appeal turned down late on.
Sydney face Melbourne City at AAMI Park on Friday night.
