The Cronulla Sharks have received a massive boost on the eve of the new season from their fans.
The club has seen a 20 per cent increase in fans taking up membership compared to the same time last year, with almost 12,000 Sharks fans signing up.
Tickets went on sale last week for all 12 of Cronulla’s home games this season. The club have announced there is “very limited” reserved seating left at Southern Cross Group Stadium this season, with general admission memberships the best way for fans to secure tickets.
The Sharks will attempt to defend their premiership this season, the club’s first in its 50-year history.
Cronulla will host a local derby against bitter rivals St George Illawarra in round three, as well as a grand final replay against Melbourne in round 14.
The Sharks open the NRL season when they host Brisbane next Thursday night.
