Sydney Airport has made traffic changes to its international precinct to improve access from Marsh Street.
The new road entry at T1 International enables motorists to bypass merging traffic on departures and arrivals roads and directly enter via Centre Road to access the express pick-up zone and car park.
The upgrade is part of a five-year ground access improvements program. The joint $500 million project with the NSW Government will make it easier for motorists, public transport users, cyclists and pedestrians to travel to and from the airport.
New road signage will be put up to help direct motorists.
Other changes to be introduced this year include an elevated, shared pedestrian/cycle path at T1 and a new, dedicated exit road from T1 departures road and arrivals court onto airport drive.
