A couple have been charged with manslaughter after the death of a six-year-old boy in Hurstville two years ago.
Diabetic Aidan Fenton died at the Hurstville Ritz hotel in April 2015 after having attended courses run by the "self-healing" proponent Hongchi Xiao.
Just before 10pm on Monday, April 28, emergency services were called to the hotel after the boy was found unconscious.
Paramedics began CPR but he couldn’t be revived.
Following inquiries, police went to a home in Upwey Street at Prospect and arrested a 56-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman.
Both were taken to Blacktown Police Station where they were charged with manslaughter.
The woman was granted conditional bail to appear in Blacktown Local Court today.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on Friday, May 12.
Inquiries are continuing and police are still looking to speak to a number of people.
