Woman charged after South Hurstville police operation

A woman has been charged after an assault in Bexley earlier this month.

About 5pm on Thursday, March 2, a man, 24, went to a unit on Queen Victoria Street at Bexley to visit a friend.

Two men known to each other arrived shortly after and became involved in an altercation.

During the fight, a older man, 35, allegedly punched the younger man in the head before using a knife on his arms, buttock and legs.

The younger man was taken to St George Hospital for treatment.

Shortly after midday on Wednesday police arrested a woman, 26, during a police operation in Derwent Street, South Hurstville.

She was taken to Kogarah Police Station where she was charged with accessory after the fact for serious indictable offence and dealing with the property proceeds of crime.

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Sutherland Local Court on April 11.
