Help came after fall
On the morning of Monday, February 20 while on my daily walk, I tripped and fell heavily in Kurnell Road, Cronulla.
I wish to thank very much the three people who quickly came to my assistance.
These were a man driving by who stopped on his way to work and provided a blanket to cover me and a towel for resting my head.
A lady, by the name of Jo, who called both the ambulance and my husband and another lady, whose name is Jan, I think, who sat by my side and comforted me until the ambulance arrived.
I ended up with five stitches in a forehead laceration, a black eye and a fractured scaphoid bone in my left hand, which is very frustrating as I am left handed.
I also thank sincerely the wonderful paramedics, Michelle and Jenny who looked after me to hospital and the great team in the Emergency Department of Sutherland Hospital. We are indeed fortunate to live in a shire where care for our fellow neighbours comes naturally and where there is top quality health care to support us.

Parking station saviour
Many thanks to the gentle bearded giant who kindly gave me gold coins for the parking station in Kogarah.
He could see I was in a flap trying to get my grand-daughter to an appointment at the hospital, he saved the day. Thank you.

Sunshine on a rainy day
As the rain teemed down in Kogarah around lunchtime last Thursday I contemplated how I would get across Railway Parade to get to my train without getting drenched.
A young man standing next to me at the traffic lights must have noticed the concern on my face and kindly offered to walk me across the road under the cover of his huge golf umbrella.
He walked me right over to the station entrance where we parted ways after I thanked him for his considerate gesture and told him his mum would be very proud of him. Thanks again Michael you brightened my day.
Dot, Mortdale
