A woman was punched several times during a break-in at Riverwood overnight.
Just before 10pm a woman, 42, and a girl, 10, were inside a unit on Belmore Road when the woman heard a noise at the front door.
Police said as the woman opened the door, two men wearing balaclavas and gloves and one armed with a metal pole, forced their way inside before pushing the woman to the ground.
One of the men punched the woman several times in the head, before both men fled the scene.
The girl was not injured, and was able to contact triple-0
The woman was taken to Bankstown Hospital with minor injuries.
Campsie police searched the area but didn’t find the men.
