Tradies will make changes to its plans for a “key worker” housing development at Gymea.
However, chief executive of Sutherland District Trade Union Club (Tradies), Tim McAleer, said the changes would “not be major, nothing dramatic”.
The club advised Sutherland Shire Council it was withdrawing the development application (DA) for the project in Lancashire Place.
“Some work needs to be done before it is resubmitted,” Mr McAleer said.
Mr McAleer said they were seeking to align the architectural vision with the available budget.
Residents have campaigned against the project, which would have 23 dwellings, including five one-bedroom units, one two-bedroom unit, a studio and 16 boarding rooms.
The DA said rental would be aimed primarily at the essential services sector, such as health care and education, and the building industry.
