The world game just became more enjoyable with the Sylvania Par 3 Golf Course embracing the new soccer-golf craze.
Soccer-golf is played on a golf course but instead of golf balls and clubs there are soccer balls and extra big holes to accommodate them.
The rules are the same as regular golf except soccer-golfers literally kick the ball around the course.
Great exercise and fun for kids parties, families and teams, soccer-golfers can go around the course a lot faster and almost anyone can play.
Like traditional golf every touch of the ball is counted as a shot. It’s a combination of golf, miniature golf and soccer.
You play golf, only you use your feet and a soccer ball. Your goal is to get the ball in the hole with as few shots as you can.
Brad Smith, the owner of Sylvania Par 3, turned his course into a soccer-golf facility four months ago with the par three holes ideal at between 60 and 150 metres long.
“I’ve seen plenty of holes in one,” Smith said.
“The standard of kids ability is very good with plenty of teams coming down for fun training sessions.”
Sylvania’s all weather, flat course makes it easy to get around and you can turn up without making a booking.
It is open from 6am to 8pm daily at 223 Belgrave Esplanade, Sylvania Waters.
The same price as golf, a round is $12 for adults and $10 for children with $3 ball hire or you can just bring your own.
