The Urban Guerillas will return to the shire supporting Spy V Spy at the Caringbah Hotel on Saturday, May 13.
Led by Menai resident Ken Stewart, the band carry on the Oz rock tradition of rebel rock the way it was done in the 80s.
The Urbs and the Spys know how to pump out the message live having built a following in the 80s when it was normal to put social reflections into song.
Along with the faithful crowds there is an ever increasing contingent of young people following these bands around to feel the power of the passion and let off steam.
The songs deal with the changing world around us and speak passionately about overzealous commerce which threatens the community and moral priorities of our society.
The Urban Guerillas were originally born out of the pub punk scene in Adelaide in 1981 before moving to Sydney in 1983.
The band was formed by singer, songwriter and guitarist Stewart with the idea of legitimately making a public nuisance of himself while creating music that captured the tempo and experience of life as it happened.
The Urban Guerillas new songs and older favourites are typically inspired by, the dreams, frustrations and passions of working Australians struggling to make sense of the globalizing economy.
The band heads for the shire along with Spy vs Spy for their gig at the Caringbah Hotel on Saturday, May 13.
