The traditional Anzac Day march and commemorations hosted by Kogarah RSL Club continued this year despite the club being closed for redevelopment.
Those wanting to pay their respects gathered at the rear of the club before joining the march at 7.15am down to a cenotaph in Kogarah Park on Jubilee Avenue.
About 200 people commemorated Anzac Day with the club.
Participants in the march gathered at the club site on Railway Parade from 7am before joining the march at 7.15am down to the cenotaph in Kogarah Park on Jubilee Avenue.
The Anzac Day service then took place at the cenotaph.
The community was invited to Beverley Park Golf Club for a complimentary breakfast and refreshments, before the traditional two-up started at 1pm.
The Kogarah RSL Club is temporarily closed for redevelopment which includes a new 2000-square-metre trading, eatery and entertainment floor as well as the 220-apartment project known as Veridian.
The club and its development partner, Capital Bluestone, ensured sub-branch activities were alble to proceed on Anzac Day despite the disruptions.
