A dominant last quarter performance from Dylan Shiel spurred the GWS Giants to a thrilling win on Friday night.
Shiel mustered 11 disposals and three clearances in the fourth quarter to guide the Giants to a two-point victory over the Western Bulldogs at UNSW Canberra Oval.
The Giants overcame a five-point deficit at three-quarter time to run out winners by 11.9 (75) to 9.19 (73).
Jeremy Cameron led the way for GWS with four goals while team mates Toby Greene and Jonathon Patton booted three majors apiece.
Jake Stringer and Marcus Bontempelli kicked three goals apiece for the Bulldogs.
However, the Giants’ win was soured after Greene was reported for striking Bulldogs player Caleb Daniel in the third quarter.
