Service in action
Our family attended the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Mortdale as part of a large community gathering to remember and honour those who have served our country.
Our 14-year-old daughter became unwell and required assistance from the St John Ambulance who were on hand.
We would like to express our gratitude to Lawrence, Matt and Dave from St John Ambulance, as well as Peter from the NSW Ambulance Service for their response, concern and assistance.
We would also like to thank other people who offered their help, and for the patience of those in our vicinity for the disturbance this created during the ceremony.
It was a great example of service in action.

SES helps those who served
Attending both the Sth Hurstville RSL service and the city Anzac march I noticed members of the NSW State Emergency Service from Kogarah helping at both events.
It is good to see the SES, that helps the community, helping those that served and helped our nation. Thank you all.

Wallet loss - twice lucky
I would like to thank the lady who found my wallet on the steps near Sutherland North Public school.
I was on a pushbike and after realising my wallet had fallen out of my saddle bag, I spent some time retracing my journey hoping to find it.
You are truly an angel, even beating me home and leaving it with my neighbour.
This is my personal quinella, as it also happened a few years ago.
On both occasions my wallet was returned intact!
Thanks to both of you for being such honest souls. People like you keep my faith and optimism alive.
