More than 65 players plus their family and friends took part in free heart health checks last weekend.
Sutherland Shire Football Association conducted the checks, in conjunction with not-for-profit organisation Heartbeat of Football, at Kareela.
All association players, coaches, managers and supporters were encouraged to have a free heart health check, with two Victor Chang nurses and a CPR trainer available on the day.
Heartbeat of Football founder Andy Paschalidis said the association’s president, Giulio De Stefano, and the local clubs were fantastic in making the most of the event.
There will also be an education night on Tuesday night.
