No cause will bind the Wagga community together like a child in need.
Residents will whip out their axes and dig deep for Mia Stewart, who suffers from congenital femoral deficiency (CFD), at the annual Farmer’s Home Fair on Saturday.
The usual wood chopping, jumping castle and petting zoo festivities will capture Riverina residents but a raffle for the remaining wood is where the goodwill begins.
All proceeds will help reach the Stewart families’ $300,000 goal, to get her to America for treatment.
The event will kick off at 11am at the Farmers Home Hotel, with some activities requiring a gold coin donation.
Farmers Home manager Mia Rosetta said they were proud to support Mia’s cause, given “all she’s been through”.
