Southern Districts have slipped out of the Shute Shield top five with a 27-12 loss to Eastwood at T.G. Millner Field on Saturday.
The Rebels were unable to turn a glut of possession and field position into points thanks to errors and poor decisions. Winger Luke Smart scored both Souths’ tries as the Rebels fell to a disappointing 15-point defeat.
It was a better day for second grade who thrashed Eastwood 37-0.
Souths are away to Sydney University in their round nine clash on Saturday.
