Australia coach Ange Postecoglou has named a quartet of local players in his 30-man Socceroos squad for a number of important upcoming fixtures.
Australia face Saudi Arabia in a crucial World Cup qualifier in Adelaide on June 8 before they play Brazil in a friendly in Melbourne on June 13.
The Socceroos then leave for the Confederations Cup in Russia where they will take on Germany (June 19), Cameroon (June 22) and Chile (June 25).
Former Bexley North Public School student Tim Cahill, former Endeavour Sports High student Tomi Juric, Sutherland Shire product Alex Gersbach and St George junior Massimo Luongo are all in Postecoglou’s plans, though Cronulla’s Chris Ikonomidis has been left out.
Sydney FC pair Rhyan Grant and Danny Vukovic have also been named in the squad, with each yet to receive a full international cap.
