Epic toddler tantrum
A huge thank you to Kerry who was working at Kmart Sylvania on Monday afternoon, May 22.
She willingly rushed to my rescue and held my 6 month old baby for me while I (necessarily) wrestled my two-year-old into the trolley in the midst of an epic tantrum.
Kerry, you are a life saver. I don’t know what I would have done without you.

Stuck in automatic door
Last week while entering a shop in Heathcote, I was entering through an automatic door, when the door closed back on me and it was crushing my arms and shoulder.
No way could I move the door away.
A passing young lad grabbed the door and held it off me to allow me to get through the door.
I am elderly, and to that young man I would like to say a big THANK YOU for his assistance.
Thank goodness I only have a bruised sore arm. Let me say there are a lot of kind people out there.

Great team at Mike’s Grill
A shout out to Mike’s Bar and Grill at Sutherland. What a great team of kind people.
Every Thursday my son Mitchell and his three housemates (who reside in supported accommodation due to their assorted disabilities) enjoy a meal at Mike’s.
With a msg that they are arriving shortly from the carers the staff quickly prepare, cut up into bite size pieces and serve immediately so these gentlemen are not kept waiting.
This is above and beyond the call of duty and no other restaurant has offered such a service.
It is consistently a successful outing which the men all enjoy immensely.
Thank you so much Mike’s Bar and Grill.
Let’s hope some other restaurants in the shire follow your example of acceptance and tolerance for all of us with different abililties.
