A trio of hard-working students from St George and the Sutherland Shire have been recognised at the 2017 TAFE NSW Student Excellence Awards.
The awards night was held in Ryde recently with about 200 guests, who celebrated the achievements of TAFE NSW’s most outstanding graduates.
The 21 award winners included Rochelle Humphreys, Patricia Scheetz, and Catherine Donnelly.
Rochelle, from Lilli Pilli, received the Alumni Award for Emerging Talent after completing a Diploma of Beauty Therapy.
Catherine, a St George campus student, graduated with a Diploma of Leadership and Management as well as a Diploma of Business and earned herself the Business Bassam Barake Industry Award.
Patricia, a Loftus campus student, was awarded the Aspirational (Special Achievement) Award after completing a Certificate IV in Patisserie. “TAFE NSW aided me in overcoming adversity and excelling in my studies and I am honored to receive recognition for this,” Patricia said.
