Help after cyclist hit car
I wish to sincerely thank the two kind men who assisted me on Friday, June 9 when a young cyclist hit my car in Sutherland on President Avenue.
I so much appreciate your assistance and you have restored my faith in the kindness of strangers.

Transform someone’s day
I would like to say “thank you all, so very very much” to all the staff of Sutherland Hospital’s Perioperative Unit that cared for me before and after a surgical procedure on June 7 and an overnight stay.
The level of care - and caring attention - that I received from each team member I interacted with was simply fantastic.
Besides the surgical team of Doctors Bean, Pham, Kaneson, Chee and Newman I wish to thank all the RNs and other staff that looked after me.
I particularly want to thank Eric the day nurse who checked on me the following morning. He clearly went above and beyond in doing that and while it may seem like a small thing, when you’re not feeling awesome, it’s a huge thing.
Ditto my night nurse who tried so hard to not disturb me each time she came in to take obs. I never got her name but I greatly appreciated her extra level of care.
To everyone else reading this: please remember that our small acts of kindness can be really huge for those receiving them. They can transform someone’s day or even world view – and make the world a much nicer place.

Coffee chaos curtailed
Thank you to the lovely woman who stepped in to end my embarrassment when I realised I’d left my wallet in the car after ordering a coffee.
She cheerfully paid and then refused to let me race back to my car to get some cash to pay her back.
What a kind soul. I will pay it forward.
