Update:
SafeWork NSW is investigating after a crane operator was injured at a work site at Cronulla on Tuesday.
A spokesman said initial inquiries indicate the crane operator fell onto steel reinforcing injuring his leg.
His said earlier reports of a crane collapse were wrong.
The investigation remains ongoing.

A man was taken to St George Hospital after a crane collapse at Cronulla on Tuesday morning
Emergency services were called to a construction site on Ewos Parade just after 8:15am after reports a crane had collapsed onto scaffolding.
The response included two Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Cronulla and Miranda as well as paramedics and police.
The incident had trapped a male worker, 51.
He was later released and treated by paramedics at the scene for a deep cut to his right leg.
He was then taken to St George Hospital.
A St George Hospital spokeswoman said on Tuesday the man was in a stable condition.
