A man accused of filming female colleagues using the toilet and "up-skirting" shoppers at Woolworths in Surry Hills tried to hide his face after he appeared in court to face extra charges.
Bibek Guragain, 23, from Hurstville, was arrested at the supermarket on Saturday night after an 18-year-old woman allegedly noticed a phone in the bathroom of the Elizabeth Street store.
Officers examined Mr Guragain's phone and found secretly-recorded footage of women, police said.
Mr Guragain was taken into custody and appeared in court on Sunday morning to face five charges of filming people without their consent.
He was granted bail and appeared in Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday facing 10 more charges, totalling three counts of filming a person in a private act without consent, and 12 charges of filming a person's private parts without consent.
The police charge sheet alleges he secretly filmed people "in a private act without consent to obtain sexual arousal or gratification"
The document said Mr Guragain filmed people - usually late at night or early in the morning - between February 16 and June 24.
Mr Guragain sat in court with two supporters, and nodded when his matter was briefly mentioned and adjourned.
He tried to hide behind one of his friends and covered his face when approached by journalists outside court.
Woolworths has been approached for comment.
Mr Guragain is due back in court on July 11.
