A man, 37, will face court after a sideline fight at an under 7s rugby league game at Oatley on the weekend.
The incident occurred about 10am on Saturday, June 24, at Renown Reserve during a match between Kingsgrove Colts and Kogarah Cougars.
President of Kingsrove Colts Leba Abihanna said the incident was regrettable.
"Obviously it’s disappointing – junior rugby league is not about what happened [on Saturday]," he said.
A police spokesman said, on Tuesday night, following inquiries, a man was issued a court attendance notice for offensive behaviour.
He is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday, August 8.
The spokesman said inquiries into the incident were continuing.
