Sutherland will miss the women’s Waratah Championship play-offs after falling 80-71 to Bankstown on Saturday.
The sixth-placed Sharks will now miss the top four finals places, with the fourth-placed Bruins all but sealing their place with two games remaining.
Sutherland’s men’s championship team fell to a heartbreaking 98-95 loss to Bankstown.
Meanwhile, Sutherland lost 84-80 to Bankstown in the division one men’s and 95-72 in the division one youth men’s. The young Sharks were also beaten 106-68 by Manly on Sunday.
Sutherland’s division one youth women enjoyed a successful weekend, winning both matches of their double header.
The Sharks beat Bankstown 90-69 on Saturday and Hornsby 80-78 on Sunday.
