St George tightened their grip on fourth place in the Sydney AFL premier division, downing Manly 13.8 (86) to 7.10 (52) on Saturday.

The win at Olds Park leaves the Dragons eight points clear of fifth-placed East Coast with five rounds before the finals. St George face struggling Western Suburbs at Picken Oval on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Southern Power fell to Macquarie University 11.6 (72) to 3.10 (28) in division one while St George downed Western Magic by 28 points. The Power host St George at Gwawley Oval on Saturday.

Southern Power suffered a heavy loss to Macquarie University in the women’s premier division.
