A Sydney truck driver will face trial next year after the death of a woman in Bexley in January.
Jennifer Azizi was allegedly hit and killed by a truck while standing next to a parked car on Stoney Creek Road at Bexley on January 23.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
She died in hospital several days later.
Ben Paiti, 31, from Kemps Creek was issued with a future court attendance notice for dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
However, those charges were upgraded following Ms Azizi’s death to dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
The case was mentioned briefly late last week in the Downing Centre District Court.
A 10-day trial was set down to begin on July 2, 2018.
