It is a big weekend for the Sutherland Shire Football Association with 84 grand finals to be played over a host of venues on Saturday and Sunday.
More than 1,900 players will take to the pitch, headlined by the men’s All Age 1s decider between Lilli Pilli and Gymea United and Senior Women’s A clash between Miranda and St Patrick’s.
In the men’s decider, minor premiers Lilli Pilli will look to defend their 2016 premiership when they take on Gymea United at Seymour Shaw Park on Saturday.
Lilli Pilli enjoyed 2-0 and 5-1 wins over Gymea in the regular season as well as a 2-2 draw. But Gymea will head into the final buoyed by their upset 2-1 win over Lilli Pilli in the semi-final.
Kick-off is at 5.30pm.
In the women’s grand final, St Patrick’s will look to defend their 2016 premiership against the undefeated minor premiers Miranda at the Harrie Dening Centre on Sunday.
There was a 2-2 draw between the sides when they met during the regular season as well as a 2-1 victory for Miranda. The Magpies then scored a 5-1 win over St Patrick’s in the semi-final.
Kick-off is at 1pm.
