The Lioness Club of Sutherland Shire held a luncheon and fashion parade to raise money for The Beauty Bank charity.
The event took place at the Cronulla Sutherland Leagues club on the first day of Spring with models showcasing outfits donated by Bay Road Clothes in Gymea for more than 160 in attendance.
All proceeds from the day were donated to The Beauty Bank which provides support for women, men and young people in need, often donating little luxuries including toiletries and similar products.
The charity collects unopened beauty products including makeup, fashion items consisting of scarves or jewellery, as well as small gift items which are handed to underprivileged individuals.
The Lioness Club of Sutherland Shire, which has raised money and support for Sutherland Shire organisations since its inception in 1978, were pleased to lend its support to The Beauty Bank.
“Our members work tirelessly to help raise funds for worthy local causes, such as The Beauty Bank,” said President, June Orsman.
“This past year alone we have donated more than $30,000 to organisations such as Project Youth, Kookaburra Kids, Total Mobility and St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation.”
