St George have advanced to the AFL Sydney division one grand final after edging out Pennant Hills in their preliminary final.
The Dragons, who finished the season as minor premiers, downed the Demons 9.6 (60) to 7.10 (52) at Blacktown International Sports Park on Saturday to move through to the grand final.
St George will take on third-placed finishers Sydney University, who have enjoyed a dream run to the decider. A victory over Pennant Hills in their qualifying final was followed by another upset two-point win over St George in their semi-final a fortnight ago.
The division one grand final will be played at Blacktown on Saturday, with the first bounce at 12.15pm. Sydney Uni will also meet Pennant Hills in the premier division grand final.
Meanwhile, St George won the under-19s division one grand final with a 27-point triumph over North Shore on Saturday.
