Police allegedly found a homemade electronic stun device in the backpack of a youth, 17, found trespassing on a construction site at the Georges River 16ft Sailing Club.
A police spokesman said officers went to the club in Sanoni Avenue, Sandringham, about 5.15pm on Tuesday following a report of teenagers trespassing on a construction area.
Three youth had been searched.
“During a search of a backpack, police located and seized a homemade electronic stun device,” the spokesman said.
“A boy, 17, was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station.
“He has been charged with possess a prohibited weapon.”
The youth was granted bail to appear before a Children’s Court on November 15,
