Westfield Miranda was abuzz on Thursday as more than 200 mothers responded to a casting call for children to become a new “face” for organic baby clothing brand Purebaby.
Mothers, with babies in arms, prams and strollers, waited in line for up to two and a half hours, but spirits were high.
Kathryn Beattie, of Kareela, said, “We saw it on Facebook and thought it would be good to win the competition, or at least get a free photo.”
Purebaby brand marketing manager, Chloe Sullivan, said they were looking at children in clothing sizes from 000 to 2.
”We are looking for the face of our autumn-winter 2018 campaign.
“Rather than using models, we prefer to use customers who love the brand.
“We expect to photograph between 200 and 250 children at Miranda.
“We chose Miranda because it’s a new store (the shop opened late last year).
“It’s a fun activity and a great way to engage with our customers and get them involved with the brand.
Ms Sullivan said Miranda was the only casting location in NSW.
“One lucky child will be flown to Melbourne for a photo shoot.”
Ms Sullivan said other children would be selected in Melbourne.
