A public information session on voluntary assisted dying legislation will be held at Engadine Bowling Club on Tuesday, September 26.
Heathcote MP Lee Evans organised the meeting, which starts at 6pm and is open to residents from across Sutherland Shire.
Mr Evans, who was a member of the cross-party working group of members, which prepared the draft Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2017.
MPs will be allowed a conscience vote on the private member’s bill, which was introduced in the upper house on August 8 after a draft was released in May.
Churches in the shire have been gathering signatures on petitions, calling on their MPs to vote against the bill.
