The Sutherland Shire Children’s Choir has recorded its album for the year titled Jingle Bells.
The choir records an album each year offering its children a professional experience putting together the CD. This year’s album is a Christmas collection recorded at Studio 57 in Taren Point earlier this month.
Choir director Natalie Woodcock said the recordings would be played on 99.7 FM Sound of the Shire.
“The inspiring energy and singing of children is the embodiment of the joyful spirit of Christmas,” she said.
“I hope that while you listen, you can hear the children’s excited smiles across the shared mic and enjoy the beautiful purity of their voices as much as I do.
“I love directing the Sutherland Shire Children’s Choir. A child who sings is a happy child.”
There are currently 75 children in four separate choirs rehearsing weekly at the Sutherland Pensioners’ Centre.
Auditions and a trial rehearsal are held in Term 4 for prospective members. Contact Natalie Woodcock on 0415 796 095 or natalie@cantabilemusic.com.au to book a place in the trial.
