The Australian Music Week Film Festival heads to Cronulla next month presenting a program of music-focused films from Australia and around the world.
The film festival kicks off the three-day Australian Music Week summit at Cronulla which brings together industry professionals, artists and music lovers from all over Australia and the world to network, learn, and celebrate the latest in music of all genres .
The debut film festival brings will be screening at GU Film House Cronulla from November 1 to 3.
The festival will see the the world premiere of Breaking The Mould - a film exploring the role of gender in Australian music, as part of a dedicated program about women in the music industry.
There will be the first NSW screening of Something Quite Peculiar: The Life and Times of Steve Kilbey of The Church who will be attending for a Q&A after the film.
Decks and the City is a film which looks at the passion and the challenges faced by the Electronic Music Community.
Garage Rockin’ Craze, a film about the Japanese underground rock and roll scene, and Trenches of Rock about the 1980s Christian Metal band BLOODGOOD are among other festival highlights and will both be making their Australian Premieres at GU Film House Cronulla.
The event will also showcase a collection of short films and music videos.
The Cronulla program is on the back of the festival opening with the Australian Premiere of the documentary Take Me To The River, presented in conjunction with the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau at Event Cinemas on George Street at 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 31.
Tickets to all films are just $10, except the opening night gala premiere at Event Cinemas George St, of Take Me To The River.

Tickets for Australian Musical Week include the Gold Conference Pass which gains delegates access to all conference sessions, networking events, and live shows taking place November 1 to 3.
Gold conference passes are available for $129 (including booking fee).
Live Show Tickets gain ticket holders access to 120-plus performances in all live venues on the evenings of November 2 and 3.
Live show tickets are $20 plus booking fee for one night, or $35 plus booking fee for 2 nights.
