Going out of one’s way
On Sunday, October 22, my friend and I, both on walking sticks and elderly, were caught in a bad storm in Forest Road, Peakhurst.
We were crossing the Bonds Road lights and when we were at the other side and were absolutely drenched a young man called Trevor and his partner saw us and offered to drive us home - one to Yagoona and the other to Bankstown.
I couldn’t believe such kindness.
They had not long come back from the United States and were coming back from Glenfield to pick up their dog.
They live in Mortdale and so I hope they can read this in the Leader.

Wallet went missing
Thank you to Saki from Lilli Pilli who went to extraordinary lengths to return our son’s wallet when it went "missing" from a Cronulla nightclub recently.
Only thing missing was his debit card but thankfully that had been cancelled earlier.
Makes me realise what a great shire we live in.

Honey had six good years
I'd like to thank the unknown family who found my cat “Honey” with life extinguished, in Benjamin Street on August 23 and took her to the vet.
Honey was a mother cat who was adopted from the Sydney Dogs and Cats Home at Carlton with her son.
She had six good years in a safe environment and is now buried in the yard of her home.
The fact that she was returned to her family was very important.
I have never experienced the death of a pet and it was quite distressing.
Her purry personality is missed by all.
