Two St George cooks had the chance to show off their skills in front of renowned Australian chef Anna Polyviou last month.
Almaza Soummaka, the creator of Sweet Layers, and Lina Jebeile, the creator of The Lebanese Plate, were among 10 finalists chosen as part the Kenwood Cooks Collective competition.
Kenwood asked keen foodies to share a picture or video of their best baking tip, trick or technique in action, tag Kenwood Australia and include the hashtag #KenwoodCooksCo.
The 10 shortlisted winners had a chance to spent a weekend with some of the best in the industry.
That included Executive Pastry Chef at the Shangri-La, and Accommodation Australia Anna Polyviou, who has also been named 2017 Chef of the Year.
Nick Makrides from The Scran Line was also on hand to share how he built a winning brand via social media.
Food stylist for delicious. magazine, Kirsten Jenkins, and food photographer Nikki To, both shared insights into their professions, how they work and advice on how to create fantastic photographs.
