A service station employee was threatened with a syringe during an attempted armed robbery at Sans Souci last month.
About 5.30pm on Sunday, October 15, the male employee, 30, was working at the Rocky Point Road service station when he was approached by a man with a syringe.
The worker told police the man demanded cash but left the store empty-handed.
St George police have since released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help with their inquiries.
He is described as being between 35 and 40 years old, about 170-180cm tall, with short grey hair.
He was wearing a dark green top and dark-coloured pants.
