Sutherland Shire’s newest hotel, Highfield Caringbah, will open on Friday, December 8, at 10am.
However, don’t try to make a booking for a Christmas or New Year get-together.
Feros Hotel Group management says, “because we are opening in the craziest month of the year, we won’t be taking any bookings until the new year – we hope you understand”.
The three-level “vertical pub” is taking shape in the old Bizzos Club building near Caringbah train station, with entrances in Mackay Street and Banksia Road.
It includes Huxley’s US style sports bar and Ugly Pizza, which opened two years ago, plus two new levels.
Feros Hotel Group also built and operate The Prince at Kirrawee, which opened early this year, as well as Taren Point Hotel.
The new hotel was called Highfield because that was the original name for Caringbah.
Group director Chris Feros said it would be “an amazing venue that offers something for everyone”.
“Each level is beautifully designed and features a range of fantastic dining options, bars, sporting and TAB facilities plus our friendly team who will be delivering the best service,” he said.
On to top floor is The Botanical, which fatures a rooftop area with views to the city skyline, stone fireplace, dedicated cocktail bar and dining options which include a Robata grill.
The second level is the Public House, with a floor to ceiling wall of more than 80 TV screens, 28 beer taps offering a huge range of domestic & craft beers, and “state of the art” TAB facilities.
The food offering on level two includes a schnitzel house, steaks, burgers and bar snacks.
