Bexley dancer and choreographer Alexander Borg has been recognised with a prestigious industry award.
Mr Borg won the Outstanding Male Dancer award at the Sharp Short Dance festival held at Parramatta over the weekend.
He won with his work ‘Hatching’.
The festival showcases the best young dancers and choreographers aged 21 years and under, who compete for awards and a chance to work with major professional dance companies.
It is a rigorous process with each performer to go through one of three rounds of heats, which were judged nightly by a panel of industry professionals.
The heat winners then presented their works as part of the final on Saturday.
This year the judging panels included Thomas Egan, Catherine Goss and Lee-Anne Litton.
It was hosted by renowned dancer, Kay Armstrong.
