A man will appear in court next month after allegedly spiking a woman’s drink and sexually assaulting her at Wolli Creek seven years ago.
In November 2010, a now 31-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, travelled from the Sydney CBD to a home in Wolli Creek.
Police allege that the man prepared a drink for the woman who remembers nothing afterwards.
The man later returned the semi-conscious woman to a home on Sussex Street. Her roommate later took her to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Sydney City police launched an investigation but the man had left the country.
About 10pm on Wednesday police arrested the man at Eastwood and took him to Ryde Police Station.
He was charged with sexual intercourse without consent and use intoxicating substance to commit serious indictable offence.
He was granted conditional bail to attend Downing Centre Local Court on December 13.
