TASKED: The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew a woman from Gunnedah to Tamworth on Saturday after a barbecue accident.
A woman is recovering in hospital after a barbecue caught alight and burned her face and chest.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the incident at Gunnedah Rugby Ground on Saturday morning.
The 44-year-old woman was lighting a barbecue at the ground when it ignited, causing burns to her face and chest, a spokesman for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter said.
The woman was treated by the helicopter’s clinical team, before being flown to Tamworth hospital reportedly in a stable condition.
