A St Clair man allegedly stole money from nine vending machines at train stations across Sydney during a five-month period this year.
The man, 47, was arrested at a St Clair home about 8am on Thursday, November 30.
It’s alleged that between August 25 and November 25, he broke into vending machines at stations including Holsworthy, Padstow, Beverly Hills, Rooty Hill and Ingleburn.
The machines were left with extensive damage.
Following an investigation, Police Transport Command’s Transport Action Group arrested the man and he was taken to Penrith police station.
There he was charged with 27 offences, including nine counts of larceny, malicious damage, and enter restricted area of train station, respectively.
He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Thursday.
