NSW Olympians gathered at the Tattersalls Club, the new home of the Olympians Club NSW, for pre-Christmas celebrations late last month.
Olympians from 1956 to the present celebrated the night in style as newly elected president Matt Hayes, sailing Olympian from the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, welcomed guests and outlined the new partnership between Tattersalls and the NSW Olympians Club.
Des Mulcahy, Tattersalls’ general manager and secretary was pleased to confirm the renewed acquaintance with the Olympic movement and elaborated on the long history of collaboration between Tattersalls and the Australian Olympic Committee.
It was a night of firsts as newly appointed CEO of the Australian Olympic Committee, Matt Carroll, outlined the AOC’s new direction as well as plans for the 2018 winter Olympics and the summer Games of 2020.
