A Santa letter box designed and built by the team at the Shire Woodworking Club has been donated to the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick.
A staff member at the hospital asked if the woodworking club could make the letter box, so sick children could post their messages to Santa.
The Shire Woodworking Club were more than happy to tackle the task building the box in about a week. They have since presented the finished product to the hospital in time for Christmas.
Since moving to its own premises at Lilli Pilli in 2012, the Shire Woodworking Club has provided more than 7000 toys to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
