Sutherland Shire and St George netball associations have dominated selection for the 2018 NSW under-19s team.
The 12-player squad will travel to Adelaide for the national championships in April.
St George and Sutherland players make up three quarters of the squad, with Sutherland’s Lenore Blades also named as head coach.
Sutherland’s Beatrice Dignan, Lili Gorman-Brown, Courtney Jones and Shelby Mallon will be joined by St George representatives Maddy Eaton, Tayla Fraser, Matilda McDonell and Georgia Westwood in the NSW team.
Blades said she was “very happy” with the calibre of 80 athletes that trialled for the squad and congratulated her squad of 12.
"There were some very fine players who just missed out and it was wonderful to have such a group to select from,” she said.
"Now is when the really hard work starts as we nail down our preparations for next year's nationals in South Australia. NSW has a proud tradition and history at these championships and each of the players know how important success at them is to netball in this state.
"Both the players and support staff are delighted to have this honour to represent NSW and we will be doing our utmost to bring silverware back east."
