Residents enjoying their Christmas lunch at Shangri La Hurstville Aged Care Centre were treated to a live performance from the Men’s Shed Chorale and a visit from Labor Federal MP Linda Burney and Liberal State MP Mark Coure.
The Men’s Shed Chorale had the staff, residents and family members singing classics including Bing Crosby’s White Christmas and Jingle Bell Rock.
The performance was followed by a Christmas lunch, as well as a visit from Linda Burney and Santa Clause.
“Christmas is a joyous time of the year, but it can be difficult for those who don’t have their friends or family around to help them celebrate,” Ms Burney said.
“It’s great to see the staff of Shangri La Hurstville and the Men’s Shed Chorale bring such joy and Christmas spirit to the residents and their families.”
